Why The Journey Is Just As Important As Your Goals

There’s one thing that many of us have in common – we’re all in a hurry. In a hurry to get through the day’s work, in a hurry to get home and get dinner sorted, and in a hurry to get fitter, leaner and healthier.

With all this rushing around, we’ve all gotten rather impatient. We have to have things faster; we have to have them right now!

But it’s not just about the end result – it’s the journey we take to get there.

This is especially true for health and fitness. Enjoying the journey towards your health and fitness goals means you have a greater chance of sticking to your plan and getting the results you deserve.

The journey teaches us so much about ourselves, our skills and our strengths. With each step forward we build confidence, which in turn fuels our motivation to keep going.

If you feel that exercise is a chore, it becomes too easy for those excuses to start getting in the way.

Learning to enjoy the process will help us stick to our plan and achieve results faster.

Let’s slow down and get more out of everything we do.

–       Warm up properly, so you feel great throughout your session

–       Mix up the type and intensity of your workouts to keep things interesting

–       Work out with friends

–       Cool down properly and stretch
